About this course

An NPTEL course on the history and ideas of Ayurveda: its roots, philosophy, view of the body in health and disease, diagnosis, treatment and training of physicians. Who it's for: students of medicine, AYUSH and Indian knowledge systems, and curious readers. It is a history and ideas course, not medical advice. These are the free, official videos of the "General - India's Ayurvedic Inheritance" playlist (NPTEL) from the nptelhrd YouTube channel (youtube.com/@iit). All videos belong to NPTEL; Sikhami is not affiliated with NPTEL and simply arranges the public playlist into a course, so you can learn one lesson at a time and keep track of your progress.
