Course certificates
How to earn a certificate of completion for a video course, save it as a PDF or print it, and how anyone can check that a Sikhami certificate is real.
Updated 22 October 2026
When you finish a video course on Sikhami, you can claim a certificate of completion. Each certificate has its own web page and a code, so anyone, for example a school or an employer, can check that it is real.
Certificates are for video courses. Face-to-face courses at institutes do not give a Sikhami certificate.
Which courses give a certificate
Video courses give a certificate unless the teacher has switched it off for that course. The public page of a course lists Certificate of completion when it gives one. Some course pages also show a Certificate on completion chip.
If a course does not give a certificate, the certificate box never appears in its player.
What you must finish
- Every video lecture in the course must be marked complete. A lecture is marked complete when the video plays to the end, or when you tap Mark complete.
- Every test in the course must be passed. A test is passed when your score reaches its pass mark.
- Your access to the course must still be running when you claim the certificate.
If something is missing, Sikhami tells you what, for example Finish 2 lectures and 1 test to get your certificate. See Watch lessons and track your progress.
The name on the certificate is the name on your profile at the moment you claim it, and it cannot be changed later. Check your name first in Edit your profile.
Claim your certificate
- Open the course in the player, from My learning.
- Finish the last lecture or test. When your progress reaches 100%, a box appears above Course content: Course complete! Claim a certificate anyone can verify online.
- Tap Get certificate.
- Your certificate opens in a new tab.
From then on, the box reads Your certificate, with the date it was issued and its code, and a View certificate button. You get one certificate per course. Claiming again shows the same certificate.
What the certificate shows
- Certificate of completion, your name and your @username.
- The course name, and the institute that offers it.
- How many lectures it has, how many tests you passed, and the hours of video.
- Issued on: the date you claimed it.
- Certificate ID: a code like SKM-AB12-CD34.
- A line that says where to check it: sikhami.com/certificate/ followed by the code.
Save it as a PDF or print it
- Open your certificate with View certificate.
- Tap Download as PDF under the certificate.
- Your browser's print window opens. To get a file, choose Save as PDF as the printer. To get a paper copy, choose your printer.
- Save or print.
Check that a certificate is real
Every certificate lives at its own address: sikhami.com/certificate/ followed by its code. Anyone can open that page, with or without a Sikhami account. A real certificate shows Verified certificate · issued by Sikhami at the top, with the learner's name, the course and the issue date.
If the code is wrong or the certificate does not exist, the page is not found. Only Sikhami can issue a certificate, and only after checking that the learner finished the course.
Certificate pages are not listed in search engines. People find yours only if you share its link or code.
Questions
Where can I see all my certificates?
There is no single list of certificates. While your access to a course runs, open it from My learning and tap View certificate. Keep the links or PDFs you saved, too.
I spelled my name wrong on the certificate. Can I fix it?
No. The certificate keeps the name your profile had when you claimed it, and the website cannot change it. Changing your profile name later does not change certificates you already have.
Get certificate shows an error. What do I do?
Read the message. It names what is still missing, for example 1 lecture or 1 test. Lectures and tests the teacher added later count too. Finish them, then tap Get certificate again.
Does my certificate disappear when my access ends?
No. A certificate you already claimed stays at its address. Save its link or a PDF so you can find it without opening the course.
Can I get a certificate for a face-to-face course?
Not on Sikhami. Certificates are issued only for video courses. Ask the institute about their own certificate.
Can a teacher get a certificate for their own course?
No. Certificates are for the course's students.
