Kajabi Pricing and Plans, and a Free Alternative for Teachers in India

Updated 18 October 2026 · Facts checked against the sources listed at the end

Kajabi is a platform where experts build and sell courses, coaching, memberships and communities, with a website, email marketing and checkout in one place. Its pricing page lists three plans. They start at $179 a month billed monthly, or $143 a month billed annually, after a free trial. Sikhami is free to set up instead, and it earns only when a learner buys something paid online.

This page is for teachers and course creators in India who are weighing up Kajabi. It covers Kajabi's plans and fees as published, how payments work for a teacher based in India, and a side-by-side table with Sikhami. It also says clearly when Kajabi is the better fit, and what to add up before you choose.

Kajabi at a glance

Sikhami wrote this comparison, and we make Sikhami, so please read it with that in mind. We checked every detail about Kajabi on its own website on 18 October 2026. Prices and features change, so check them again before you decide. Kajabi is a trademark of its owner; Sikhami is not connected with it.

Kajabi brings selling and teaching tools together in one account. You can make courses, coaching programs, digital products, memberships and communities. Email, landing pages, checkout, automations and analytics sit in the same account. The three plans differ in contacts, products, admin users and extras.

Kajabi plans as shown on its pricing page, in US dollars (18 October 2026)

Kajabi says it takes no revenue share of your sales. Its own processor, Kajabi Payments, charges card fees that differ by country. For US businesses they run from 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic to 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. The last column applies when you use another card processor in a region where Kajabi Payments is offered. PayPal is left out of that fee.

Kajabi's help centre says the standard free trial runs 14 days. Every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you pass your contact limit, extra contacts come in blocks of 25,000 for $125 a month.

Courses can include quizzes with multiple choice, checkbox, short answer and file upload questions. Multiple choice and checkbox answers can be graded automatically. Completion certificates can show a serial number and can be sent automatically. Members can use the free Kajabi Mobile App on iPhone and Android. A branded app under your own name comes with Pro, or costs $199 a month on any plan.

Selling on Kajabi from India

Kajabi Payments is open to businesses registered in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and select European countries. India is not on that list. Kajabi says it is working to add more regions.

A teacher based in India would connect Stripe or PayPal instead. Kajabi's pricing page says that where Kajabi Payments is not offered, there is no additional processing fee. Stripe and PayPal charge their own fees.

Some tools work only through Kajabi Payments. Kajabi lists Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Afterpay, Klarna, automatic sales tax, invoicing and its QuickBooks and Xero links. Plan your checkout and your tax records with that in mind, and test a real payment during the trial.

Kajabi and Sikhami side by side

Every row below is confirmed on both platforms' own pages. On Sikhami, a teacher sells a video course through an institute, which is free to create. Clubs, notes and memberships are sold from your own account.

Kajabi and Sikhami compared (18 October 2026)

When Kajabi is the better choice

  • You want your website, email list, sales pages and courses in one paid account, on your own domain.
  • Email marketing is central to how you sell, and you want it with automations in the same account.
  • You run coaching programs and a community next to your courses.
  • You want an app under your own name in the app stores, and Pro or the add-on fits your budget.
  • You need quiz questions that are marked by hand, such as short answers or file uploads.
  • You already have a large audience, and the monthly plan is small next to your sales.

When Sikhami is the better choice

  • You want to start without a monthly bill. Sikhami has no plan to pay for, so you can publish before your first sale.
  • Your learners are in India and like to pay by UPI, card or net banking. Before you save a price, Sikhami shows what you will receive per sale on the website and in the app.
  • You are still building an audience. Sikhami is a social network for learners, and your institute and courses get public pages that learners reach by browsing categories.
  • You teach in a classroom as well. Batches, attendance and fee receipts are part of the free LMS, and classroom fees are paid to you directly.
  • You want small, low-cost ways to earn: paid PDF notes, paid clubs, or paid meetups. An online meetup is a video session for up to four people, for up to an hour.
  • You have YouTube videos already. A playlist can become a free course with tests and a certificate, which is a gentle first step.

Work out the yearly cost before you choose

Monthly prices hide the real total. Add up a full year before you commit to any platform. Here is a simple way to do it.

  1. Take the plan price for 12 months. Kajabi Basic billed annually is $143 a month, which comes to $1,716 a year before any sale.
  2. Add the fees per sale: the platform's share, if any, plus card or payment processing fees.
  3. Add any extras you need, such as a branded app, more contacts or more admin users.
  4. Add the tools you would still pay for elsewhere, such as an email service or a scheduling app.
  5. Divide the total by the number of sales you honestly expect. That is your cost per sale.

Do the same sum for every option, including ones that charge nothing until you sell. Then compare the cost per sale, not the headline price. Our guide on how to sell online courses helps you estimate sales and set a price.

Good to know before you start

  • On Sikhami, a teacher sells a video course through an institute. A teacher profile alone cannot sell one.
  • Sikhami has no email marketing, sales funnel or website builder tools. Announcements reach the students of a course in the app and by email.
  • Sikhami gives you no app or web address of your own. Students use the Sikhami website and Android app.
  • Paid memberships cover members-only clips, and you set them up on the website.
  • Live classes for batches run on Google Meet or Zoom. Sikhami's own Live streams from your device, suits small sessions and has no paid entry.
  • There is no DRM or download protection on course videos, and tests are multiple choice with one correct answer.
  • Video courses are created on the website, and YouTube playlist courses are always free.
