Coaching Institute Website: A Free Page on Sikhami That Works Like a Simple Website

Updated 12 October 2026 · Facts checked against the sources listed at the end

Sikhami gives every coaching institute a free public page that works like a simple website: your logo, name, city, about section, courses and teachers at one address, open to anyone without signing in and listed for search engines to find. There is no hosting, design or yearly fee to pay.

To be clear from the start: it is a page on Sikhami, at an address that starts with sikhami.com/institute/ followed by an ID. It is not a website on your own domain, it is not a website builder, and you cannot choose a custom address. This page explains what visitors and Google see, how to share the page, when it is enough and when you also want a website of your own, with a checklist of what any coaching institute website should have.

What you get, free

The page comes with every free institute on Sikhami, and there is nothing to upgrade to.

What visitors and Google see

Anyone, without signing in

A parent who opens your link from WhatsApp, or anyone who reaches it from a search, sees your logo, institute name, city and state, how many courses you have, your followers, your about section, up to 24 of your courses and your teachers, with a Follow on Sikhami button. They need no account to read any of it.

Signed-in learners also see

Learners who sign in also see your address with a Directions link that opens Google Maps, links to email and call you, reviews and a questions and answers section, and they can follow, like, save and share your page. Signed-out visitors do not see your address or phone, so print your phone number on your posters and pamphlets too.

What search engines read

Your page carries structured data that describes it as an educational organisation, and each course page carries structured data for a course. Google says it uses structured data to understand the content of a page. Your institute page is also listed in Sikhami's sitemap, which helps search engines discover it, though Google notes that a sitemap does not guarantee a page will be crawled and indexed. Where the page ranks for any search is up to Google.

Course pages

Every course has its own page and link. A video course page has free preview lectures that anyone can watch and a button to enrol. A classroom course page shows its dates, class days and times, seats and fee, with Apply now; its venue is your institute's address, with Directions for signed-in learners.

When you advertise one course, share that course's page rather than the institute page, so the reader lands on exactly what you are offering. If you also teach online, see how to sell courses online or turn a YouTube playlist into a free course.

Share it on WhatsApp, social media and your posters

Use Share on your page to send it on WhatsApp, post it to your story, or choose Copy link and paste the address anywhere: your WhatsApp status, your social media profiles, an email signature or a message to parents. Our WhatsApp messages for tuition classes include ready-made texts to send with it.

Your Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile has a website field, but Google's guidelines ask for a site that represents your own business and say not to use pages created on other platforms, such as social media pages. So keep that field for a website on your own domain, if you have one, rather than your Sikhami page.

What your Business Profile and your Sikhami page share is your name, address and phone number: keep them exactly the same in both places, so families who find you on Google Maps and on Sikhami see one institute. Google does not allow links in the business description.

On posters, pamphlets and your signboard

Print the full address next to your phone number, exactly as it appears, and type it into a phone to test it before you print in bulk. Sikhami does not make a QR code for the page; if you want one on a poster, make it with any QR code tool and scan it to check that it opens your page. For more ways to reach families, see our guide to getting students for tuition.

Set up your page, step by step

  1. Sign up on Sikhami, open Learning studio and choose New institute. Type the Institute name exactly as it is on your signboard, pick What do you teach? so learners browsing those categories can find you, and choose Create institute. It is saved as a draft.
  2. In Details, add your Logo, a username, an about section, your email and phone (each confirmed with a code), your full Address and your Location on the map, where Use my location helps. Your institute needs all of these before it can be published.
  3. Fill in the rest of Details as well: Discovery (Institute type, Mode, Affiliation, Facilities and Medium of instruction), Contact and Links.
  4. Write the about section for parents: what you teach, for which classes or exams, your batch timings, your teachers' experience and your refund policy. It is what signed-out visitors read about you.
  5. Under Courses, add your classroom courses and any video courses, so the page has something to show.
  6. Publish, then open your page while signed out to see what visitors see, and share the link.

What a coaching institute website should have

Whether you use a free page, your own website or both, parents and students look for the same things before they call. Use this as a checklist.

  • Who you are: the institute's name exactly as on your signboard, your logo, and the classes, subjects or exams you teach, in the first lines.
  • Where you are: full address with a landmark, a map link, and whether you also teach online.
  • How to reach you: phone and WhatsApp number, email, and the hours you answer calls.
  • Courses and batches: class or exam, subjects, start dates, days and timings, batch size and duration.
  • Fees: the fee for each course, how it can be paid, instalments, and your refund policy in writing.
  • Teachers: the names, qualifications and experience of the people who will actually teach.
  • Facilities: photos of the classroom, study material, tests and doubt sessions, and any hostel or transport.
  • Proof of teaching: a free demo class, sample videos or notes, and genuine reviews.
  • Results, shown honestly, under the rules below.
  • Policies: refunds, privacy, and how you handle complaints.

Rules that apply to coaching websites and ads

The Central Consumer Protection Authority's 2024 guidelines on misleading advertisement in the coaching sector say that anyone providing coaching must not make false claims about courses, duration, faculty credentials, fees, refund policy, number of selections, ranks or success rates, or promise guaranteed selection, ranks or marks. When an advertisement features a successful candidate, it must disclose the rank secured, the name and duration of the course and whether it was paid, and the candidate's name, photo or testimonial may be used only with their written consent, taken after the selection.

The Ministry of Education's January 2024 Guidelines for Regulation of Coaching Center, sent to states and union territories to adopt through their own laws, say a coaching centre should have a website with up-to-date details of its tutors' qualifications, courses and curriculum, course duration, hostel facilities if any, fees, exit and fee refund policy, the number of students coached and the number admitted to higher education. These guidelines define a coaching centre as one coaching more than 50 students. What applies to you depends on your state's own rules, so check them.

When you also want a website of your own

A free page covers the basics. A website on your own domain makes sense when:

  • your state's rules ask for a website and you want one under your own name and control;
  • you want your own address, ending in .in or .com, with email addresses on it;
  • you want pages of your own design, such as an enquiry or admission form, a results gallery or a blog;
  • you want parents to pay batch fees online, which Sikhami does not handle;
  • you run several branches and want one site for all of them;
  • you plan to run ads that send people to a landing page you control.

The two work well together. Keep your own website as your main address, and link from it to your Sikhami institute page and course pages, where learners can follow you, enrol in video courses and apply for classroom courses. Everything else an institute gets on Sikhami, from batches and attendance to fees and receipts, is on our free LMS page.

Good to know before you start

  • It is a page on Sikhami, not your own website. There is no custom domain or custom address, and Sikhami does not make a QR code for it or let you embed it elsewhere.
  • Signed-out visitors and search engines do not see your address or phone; signed-in learners do.
  • Publishing needs your full address and map location, which signed-in learners can see. Keep this in mind if you teach from home.
  • Inside Sikhami, a new institute's page shows a Not verified tag.
  • An institute page has no message button; signed-in learners can email or call you from it.
  • The public page lists up to 24 of your courses.
  • Structured data and the sitemap help search engines find your page, but nobody can promise where it ranks or that it will appear for a given search.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a website for my coaching institute for free?

One way is a free institute page on Sikhami, which works like a simple website: your logo, about section, courses and teachers at one address anyone can open, with a Share button. It is a page on Sikhami, not your own domain. Create it from Learning studio with New institute, fill in Details and publish.

Can I use my own domain name with my Sikhami page?

No. The page lives at sikhami.com/institute/ followed by an ID, and you cannot choose a custom address or connect a domain. If you want your own domain, build a website there and link from it to your Sikhami page.

Will my institute page appear on Google?

It can. The page is open without signing in, carries structured data describing your institute, and is listed in Sikhami's sitemap, which helps Google find it. Nobody can promise where it ranks or that it will appear for a particular search.

Can I add my Sikhami page to my Google Business Profile?

We suggest not. Google's guidelines ask that the website field points to your own business's website, not to a page on another platform. Keep that field for your own domain if you have one, keep your name, address and phone the same on both, and share your Sikhami page on WhatsApp, social media and posters instead.

Does the page show my address and phone number?

Only to signed-in learners, who also get Directions, email and call links, reviews and questions and answers. Signed-out visitors see your logo, name, city and state, about section, courses and teachers, so put your phone number on your posters too.

What should a coaching institute website have?

Your name and logo, what you teach, address and map, phone and WhatsApp, courses with timings and batch size, fees and refund policy, teachers' qualifications, facilities, a demo class, genuine reviews and results shown honestly. Follow the 2024 consumer protection guidelines on coaching advertisements when you show results.
