Use Sikhami in Gemini

Works today. Add Sikhami to Gemini as a custom app, then pick it with @Sikhami in a chat. Google allows custom apps only for some accounts (see the note below).

Connect Sikhami to Gemini and you can ask about Sikhami in plain words: find a course or notes, practise a quiz one question at a time, see upcoming meetups, or check your own courses and notifications.

You log in to Sikhami once and choose what Gemini may do. Gemini never sees your Sikhami password, and you can disconnect it at any time.

Things to ask Gemini

  • Find a free beginner course on GST on Sikhami.
  • Quiz me on percentages from Sikhami, one question at a time.
  • Which Sikhami meetups are coming up in Delhi?
  • How far have I got in my Sikhami courses?
  • Do I have new notifications on Sikhami?
  • Show this week's admission enquiries for my institute. (For institute owners and admins.)

Add Sikhami to Gemini

  1. On a computer, open gemini.google.com, then Customize and Connectors.
  2. Click Create custom app. In Connect to an MCP server, enter https://sikhami.com/mcp and click Next.
  3. Google shows what a custom app can do. Read it, tick the box that you accept the risks, and click Connect.
  4. A Sikhami page opens. Log in if you are asked to, read what Gemini will be able to do, switch off Act for you or Your institute's admissions if you do not want them, and select Allow.
  5. In a chat, type @, pick Sikhami from the list, and ask your question. Sikhami then also works in the Gemini phone app.

Pick @Sikhami from the list as in the last step. If you only write "Sikhami" in your question, Gemini may search the web instead. Under Customize, Connectors, Sikhami you can choose when Gemini asks you before each Sikhami action.

Google allows custom apps only for personal Google accounts (not work or school ones), with Keep Activity switched on and Gemini in English, and not on every plan or in every country. Google does not check custom apps, so only add ones you trust.

It asks you before it changes anything

Reading is instant. Sikhami tells the assistant to check with you before anything that changes your account: joining or leaving a meetup, publishing a post, or adding an admission enquiry. Posts are public as soon as they are made, so read the post it shows you before you say yes.

What Gemini may do on Sikhami

  • See your Sikhami account (always included): Your profile, your courses and progress, the meetups you joined, your notifications and new followers, and everything public on Sikhami.
  • Act for you (you choose): Join or leave free meetups and publish posts with pictures or videos as you. It can never buy anything, send messages or delete your content.
  • Your institute's admissions (you choose): For institutes you own or run: read admission enquiries (names, phone numbers, emails) and add new ones.

No app can buy anything, pay, send or read messages, run ads, delete your content or see your password. Private profiles and learners under 18 never appear in any app.

Disconnect Gemini

  1. On sikhami.com, go to Settings, then Connected apps.
  2. Under Apps you allowed (or Personal access tokens, if you used one), find Gemini.
  3. Select Disconnect (or Delete for a token) and confirm. It stops working with your account at once.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?
No. Sikhami charges nothing for this. Gemini's own plans and limits apply.
Can Gemini buy a course for me?
No. No connected app can buy or pay. Gemini gives you the course's page on sikhami.com, where you buy it yourself.
It says it needs another permission. What do I do?
You switched that permission off when you connected. Disconnect the app in Connected apps, connect it again, and leave the permission on this time.
