Send Sikhami enquiries to Pabbly Connect
Works today. Works with Pabbly's own webhook trigger. A Sikhami app inside Pabbly, with more triggers and actions, is being built.
Pabbly Connect links apps without code, and many coaching institutes in India use it with WhatsApp tools and Google Sheets. Sikhami can send each new admission enquiry to Pabbly within seconds, so a workflow can greet the student on WhatsApp before they ask anyone else.
This uses Sikhami's Send to apps in Sikhami LMS and Pabbly's own Webhook by Pabbly trigger, so it needs no Sikhami app inside Pabbly.
Workflows institutes build
- New enquiry → WhatsApp welcome message to the student, through your WhatsApp app in Pabbly.
- New enquiry → a new row in a Google Sheet your counsellors share.
- New enquiry → a message to the counsellor on duty.
- New enquiry → the lead in your CRM, with the course they asked about.
Connect it in five steps
- In Pabbly Connect, create a workflow. For the trigger, choose Webhook by Pabbly and its catch-webhook event, and copy the webhook URL Pabbly shows.
- In Sikhami LMS, open Admissions, then Send to apps. Paste the URL under Webhook address and click Add.
- Click Send a test. Pabbly receives a made-up enquiry (Asha Verma, marked test), so it can show you the fields.
- In Pabbly, add your actions, such as a WhatsApp message or a Google Sheets row, and fill them with the enquiry's fields.
- Save and turn the workflow on. From now on every new enquiry runs it.
Only the institute's owner and admins see Send to apps. An enquiry is sent once, when it is new; if the same person asks again, it is added to their first enquiry and not sent again.
The fields Pabbly receives
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| data → name | The student's or parent's name |
| data → phone | Their phone number (10 digits for Indian numbers) |
| data → email | Their email, if they gave one |
| data → course_name, interest | The course they picked, or what they wrote they want to learn |
| data → message | Their question |
| data → source | page (Ask about admission on your institute page) or manual (added in Sikhami LMS) |
| data → created_at | When it arrived, in milliseconds since 1970 (UTC) |
| event | Always admission_enquiry.created |
A test also carries test: true, so a workflow can skip it with a filter.
Add enquiries to Sikhami from Pabbly
To send enquiries the other way, for example from your website form or a Facebook lead form, use Pabbly's API by Pabbly action with a Sikhami personal access token:
- On sikhami.com, go to Settings, then Connected apps.
- Under Personal access tokens, click New token.
- Give it a name, such as the tool's name. It can always see your account; also switch on Act for me or My institute's admissions if your automation needs them.
- Click Make token and copy the token. It starts with
skh_pat_, and Sikhami will not show it again. Click Done.
A token works like a password for what it allows. Keep it secret. If it leaks, delete it in Connected apps and make a new one.
Then make a POST request to https://sikhami.com/api/v1/lms/enquiries with the header Authorization: Bearer followed by your token, and a JSON body with institute_id, name, and phone or email (and optionally interest and note).
Your institute's id is in the address of your Sikhami LMS workspace: in sikhami.com/lms/abc123/admissions, it is abc123.
What Pabbly Connect may do on Sikhami
- See your Sikhami account (always included): Your profile, your courses and progress, the meetups you joined, your notifications and new followers, and everything public on Sikhami.
- Act for you (you choose): Join or leave free meetups and publish posts with pictures or videos as you. It can never buy anything, send messages or delete your content.
- Your institute's admissions (you choose): For institutes you own or run: read admission enquiries (names, phone numbers, emails) and add new ones.
No app can buy anything, pay, send or read messages, run ads, delete your content or see your password. Private profiles and learners under 18 never appear in any app.
Disconnect Pabbly Connect
- On sikhami.com, go to Settings, then Connected apps.
- Under Apps you allowed (or Personal access tokens, if you used one), find Pabbly Connect.
- Select Disconnect (or Delete for a token) and confirm. It stops working with your account at once.
Frequently asked questions
- Does it cost anything?
- Sending enquiries is free on Sikhami. Pabbly's own plans and task limits apply.
- Pabbly did not get the test. What do I check?
- Check that the whole webhook URL was pasted and that the Pabbly workflow is still waiting for a webhook. Send to apps shows what the last try answered.
- Can I send enquiries to more than one app?
- Yes. Add up to ten addresses; every new enquiry goes to each of them.
