The Ads Manager

What the Ads Manager is, how it is organised into campaigns, ad sets and ads, who can advertise, what you can promote, where ads appear, and how every ad is reviewed before it runs.

Updated 22 October 2026

The Ads Manager is where you create and run ads on Sikhami. An ad is a picture or a short video with a headline, some text and a button. Sikhami shows it to learners in the home feed, between clips, between stories, above search results and on Explore. Every ad is marked Sponsored.

You decide who sees your ads, where they appear and how much you spend. You pay from a prepaid balance that you top up, and a person at Sikhami checks every ad before it is shown to anyone.

Where to find it

On a computer, open More at the bottom of the left menu and choose Ads under Your studios. On a phone, open your profile, tap ⋯ and choose Ads in Settings and activity. You can also go straight to the Ads Manager.

The first time you open it, Sikhami makes a personal ad account for you, called My ad account. There is no form to fill in and nothing to pay until you want your ads to run.

Before your first ad, give your account an advertiser name: open Settings in the Ads Manager and fill in Advertiser name. It is shown on every ad as Sponsored · name. Until you set it, your ads show the account name, which starts as My ad account.

How the Ads Manager is organised

Sikhami uses three levels, the same as most ad platforms. A campaign can hold several ad sets, and an ad set can hold several ads.

LevelWhat it holdsExample
CampaignThe objective (what you want people to do) and a name. It can also hold one budget shared by its ad sets.NEET 2027 batch launch
Ad setWho sees the ads, where they appear, when they run, the budget and the bid.Class 12 learners in Bihar, ₹500 a day
AdWhat people see: the picture or video, the headline, the text, the button and where a tap goes.A 20-second video with an Enrol now button

To make your first campaign, see Create an ad campaign.

The screen, part by part

  • The top bar shows the ad account you are working in. Tap its name to switch to another account or to Create ad account. Next to it you see your role on the account, the balance, and (for admins and advertisers) Add funds.
  • The sections: Campaigns, Audiences, Lead forms, Rules, Experiments, Reports, Billing and Settings. On a wide screen they run down the left side; on a phone they are a row of tabs across the top. Only admins see Settings.
  • Campaigns is the main screen. On a computer it has a list of your campaigns, ad sets and ads on the left, a results panel for whatever you select, and three tabs: Campaigns, Ad sets and Ads. Each tab is a table of numbers. On a phone the list becomes a row of campaigns that you scroll sideways.
  • Create, in the row of buttons above the results (or New campaign under the list), starts a new campaign. Export in the same row downloads the table you are looking at.

Tap a row to look inside it: a campaign shows its ad sets, and an ad set shows its ads. Edit on a row opens its form. To read the numbers, see Ad results, reports, A/B tests and rules.

What the Delivery column means

Pause, resume, copy and delete

  1. On the Campaigns, Ad sets or Ads tab, tick the box next to one or more rows.
  2. A bar appears with Pause, Resume, Duplicate and Delete drafts.
  3. Choose what you want. Clear removes the ticks.
  • Pause and Resume work on campaigns and ad sets. An ad has no on/off switch of its own: pause its ad set to stop it.
  • Resume only switches on things that are paused. A draft is switched on by publishing it.
  • Duplicate copies what you ticked, with everything inside it, as drafts. Copies have no results and are not published.
  • Delete drafts removes drafts only. Anything that has been published is part of your spending history and cannot be deleted; pause it instead. Deleted drafts cannot be brought back.

Ad accounts and your team

Each ad account has its own balance, campaigns, audiences, lead forms and people. Your personal account is yours alone. A business account can be shared, for example with the staff of your institute or with an agency.

Make a business account

  1. Tap the account name at the top of the Ads Manager.
  2. Choose Create ad account.
  3. Fill in Account name (only your team sees it) and Advertiser name (shown on every ad and in the Ad Library). Legal name (optional) and GSTIN (optional) can be added now or later.
  4. Choose Create account. You are its admin.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
AdminEverything, including people, billing details and the spending limit. The person who created the account is always an admin and cannot be removed.
AdvertiserCreate and edit campaigns, ad sets, ads, audiences, lead forms, rules, tests and report emails. Add funds. See and download leads.
AnalystSee campaigns and results. Cannot change anything, add funds or see leads.

To add someone, an admin opens Settings, types their @username or email under Invite someone, picks a role and chooses Invite. The person gets a notification, and a message with Accept and Decline at the top of their own Ads Manager.

To leave an account you were invited to, tap the account name and choose Leave this account. The owner cannot leave their own account.

What you can advertise and where ads appear

A tap on your ad can open:

  • one of your courses or course bundles
  • your notes
  • one of your clubs or meetups
  • your Sikhami profile
  • a website, using a full web address that starts with https://
  • a lead form that opens inside Sikhami (see Lead forms and leads)

You can only point an ad at courses, bundles, notes, clubs and meetups that you made with your own Sikhami account, not at someone else's.

Nobody on your ad account is shown that account's ads, so you will not see your own ad in your feed. Use the Preview while you make the ad. To see how ads look to learners, read Sponsored posts, clips and stories.

Ad review

Every ad is checked by a person at Sikhami before it can run. An ad goes into review when you publish it, not while it is a draft. The Ads Manager says review usually takes up to a day. You get a notification when your ad is approved or not approved.

An ad can be rejected for one of these reasons, which you see on the ad:

  • Misleading or exaggerated claims
  • Guarantees an exam result or a rank
  • Adult, violent or hateful content
  • Impersonates another person or institute
  • Poor image or video quality
  • Promotes something sold outside Sikhami
  • Breaks the advertising policy in another way

If you change what people see in an approved ad (the picture or video, the text, the button, where it goes, or the advertiser name on it), the ad goes back into review and stops showing until it is approved again. Changing only the ad's name, or the ad set's audience, budget, bid or dates, does not need a new review.

A rejected ad stays rejected even after you edit it. To try again, make a corrected copy: tick the ad on the Ads tab, choose Duplicate, fix the copy with Edit, and publish it from Review & publish. The copy is reviewed as a new ad.

Questions

Does it cost anything to make an ad?

No. Making campaigns, ad sets and ads is free. You pay only for ads that are shown (or tapped, if you chose to pay per click), out of your prepaid balance. See Ad budget, balance and billing.

Who can advertise?

Anyone with a Sikhami account can open the Ads Manager. You cannot create campaigns while your Sikhami account is suspended, and if Sikhami puts an ad account on hold, none of its ads are shown. See Account suspension and moderation.

Why can't I see my own ad in my feed?

Nobody on an ad account is shown that account's ads, and you are never charged when you or your team look at them. Check the Preview in the ad's form, or find the ad in the Ad Library once it has been shown.

Can I switch off one ad without pausing the whole ad set?

No. An ad has no on/off switch of its own. Pausing its ad set stops every ad in that ad set.

Can my staff or an agency run ads for my institute?

Yes. Create a business ad account, then invite them from Settings as an admin, advertiser or analyst. They accept the invitation in their own Ads Manager.

What does Flat-rate (older) mean?

Some ad sets were bought at an older fixed price, paid for up front, before the prepaid balance existed. Their budget, dates and audience cannot be changed. They open on a page of their own, where you can pause or resume them.
