Start a club with its own chat and posts, fill in its details, make it free or paid for a period, and publish it. Also how to manage, unpublish or delete a club.

Updated 22 October 2026

A club is a community on Sikhami with its own chat and its own posts. You can make a study group for an exam, a doubt-solving group, a coding club or any group of learners. A club can be free, or people can pay to be a member for a set time.

You make a club in two steps. First you give it a name. Then you fill in the rest on the club's manage page and publish it. This article is for club owners. To find and join clubs, see Clubs.

Where to find it

You can start a club from any of these places:

  • Open Create and choose Club.
  • Open More, then Creator studio, and select the Club tile. On a phone, open your profile and select ⋯ to reach the same menu.
  • Go straight to New club.

All your clubs, drafts included, are listed in the Creator studio under My clubs. Select one to open its manage page. On your club's own page you also see a Manage button at the top.

Create the club

  1. Open Create and choose Club. The New club page opens.
  2. Type a Club name. It must be at least 3 characters long, and it can be up to 80.
  3. Optional: under What is the club about?, pick up to 10 topics, such as an exam, a subject, an instrument or a sport.
  4. Select Create club.

Sikhami makes the club as a draft with 1000 seats and opens its Manage club page. You are added as the first member. Until you upload a logo, the club uses a picture of the first letter of its name.

Fill in the manage page

The Manage club page has one section for each part of the club. Each field has its own Save button, which appears when you change something. Select View page at the top to see the club as other people see it.

SectionWhat you set
LogoA round picture for the club. Select Choose to upload a JPG or PNG up to 10 MB, or Remove to take it off.
BasicsClub name, About (up to 1000 characters: what the club is about, who should join and what happens inside), Category and Maximum members.
DiscoveryOptional details that help people find the club in search: Language, Level, the topics under What is the club about?, Club type (for example Study group, Doubt solving, Coding club or Book club) and State (leave it empty for an all-India club).
MembershipThe price to join. Leave it empty for a free club.
Danger zoneDelete club.

Maximum members

This is the number of seats in the club. Enter a whole number from 2 to 100000. You cannot set it lower than the number of members the club already has. When every seat is taken, the club page shows "This club is full." and nobody else can join.

Category

Type the category in lower-case letters. You can pick a category that already exists from the list, or type a new one and select Save.

Make the club free or paid

A club is free until you set a price. A paid club is sold for a period of time. You choose which periods to sell and set a price for each one. The buyer picks one period when they pay.

  1. On the manage page, go to Membership and select Set prices (or Change if prices are already set). The Membership prices box opens.
  2. Type a price in rupees next to each period you want to sell: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Leave a period empty if you do not want to sell it.
  3. Under each price you see what you receive for each member on sikhami.com and in the Android app. Select How to see the full sum.
  4. Select Save.
  • Prices come in fixed steps, so that the website and the Android app charge the same amount. If you type an amount between two steps, it is saved as the next step up, and the box tells you, for example "Saved as ₹499".
  • The lowest price is ₹25 and the highest is ₹1,00,000. A price above ₹50,000 can only be paid on sikhami.com, not in the Android app.
  • Each period has its own price, so a year can cost less than twelve single months.
  • To make the club free again, clear every price and select Save.
  • People who joined before you set a price keep their membership. They do not have to pay.
  • When a paid member's period ends, they can no longer read or send messages in the club chat. The club page shows them a Renew button.

Sikhami keeps a fee of 20% of the money that reaches it and pays you the rest. For the full sum, including sales made in the Android app, see What you earn on Sikhami.

Publish the club

A new club is a draft. To publish it, the club needs a Logo, a Club name and an About text. If something is missing, a box called Finish the club lists it and shows how many items are done. Select an item in the list to jump to its section.

  1. Fill in anything that is missing.
  2. Select Publish at the top of the manage page.

You see "Published. People can now find and join the club." To take the club down for a while, select Unpublish and confirm. An unpublished club disappears from Explore and search, but its members keep the chat. You can publish it again at any time.

Posts, chat and members

  • Posts: you and your members can select Post in club on the club page to write a post there. The club page has four tabs: Posts, Clips, Polls and Audios. Anyone who opens the club page can read them.
  • Chat: select Chat on the club page to open the club's group chat. Only you and the club's members can read and send messages.
  • Members: select the member count under the club name (for example "25 members") to see the list of members.
  • Price on the club page: as the owner, you can also change the club's prices from the club page itself.

The website has no button to remove a member from your club.

Delete a club

  1. Open the club's manage page.
  2. Go to Danger zone and select Delete club.
  3. Confirm with Delete.

Deleting removes the club for everyone. Members lose the chat and the posts in it. You cannot undo this. If you only want to hide the club for a while, select Unpublish instead.

Questions

Can I change the club's name later?

Yes. Change Club name on the manage page and select Save. The name must be at least 3 characters long.

Why can I not publish my club?

A club needs a logo, a name and an About text before it can be published. The Finish the club box on the manage page shows what is still missing.

Can I change the price after people have paid?

Yes. The new price applies to new payments and renewals. People who already paid keep their membership until their period ends.

Do paid members renew automatically?

No. Each payment covers one period. When it ends, the member pays again to renew.

Who can post in my club?

You and the club's members. Other people can open the club page and read the posts, but they cannot post or use the chat until they join.

Where do I see the money from my club?

Sales are added to Earnings in Settings & privacy. Sikhami pays you to the bank details you save in Bank and tax details. See Earnings and payouts.
