Updated 22 October 2026
An institute is the page for your coaching centre, school, college, academy or any place that teaches. Your courses live under it, and students can follow it, review it and contact you from it.
You can also run the institute day to day on Sikhami: batches with a timetable, attendance, a fee book with receipts, and a team of staff. Creating and running an institute is free.
Create the institute
- Open the Learning studio. On the My institutes tab, click New institute. You can also choose Institute in the Create menu.
- Type the Institute name (3 to 80 characters), for example "Bright Minds Coaching Centre".
- Under What do you teach?, choose up to 10 topics: exams you coach for, subjects, skills, trades, music or dance. This is optional.
- Click Create institute. The Manage institute page opens.
The institute starts as a draft. Fill in its details, then publish it so students can find it and apply to your courses. You can own more than one institute.

Questions
Is it free to list my institute?
Yes. Creating, publishing and running an institute is free. Sikhami keeps a fee only on online course sales. See What you earn on Sikhami.
Why can't I publish my institute?
Something is still on the Finish institute profile list. Click Publish and read the message; it names what is missing. The most common ones are the map location and a part of the address.
Can I hide my phone number?
No. Institutes are public, and the phone number is needed to publish. It is shown on the institute page so learners can call you.
Can I delete my institute?
The website has no button to delete an institute. You can unpublish it, so students no longer find it in the list.
Can someone else help me run the institute?
Yes. Add them under Team as an Admin, Teacher or Accountant. See Institute team and roles.
Is there a cover photo for institutes?
No. An institute has a logo only.
