Sign up and log in
How to make a Sikhami account and log in on the website with your phone number, Google or email, how to reset a password, how to log out, and what to do when you cannot get in.
Updated 22 October 2026
You need a Sikhami account to follow people, post, message and learn. Signing up is free, and the same account works on the website and in the Sikhami Android app.
There is one page for both signing up and logging in: the login page. If you have no account yet, the same steps make one for you.
Ways to sign up or log in
The login page shows Log in or sign up in seconds and four buttons:
| Button | What you need | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Continue with phone number | A mobile number that can receive SMS | Sikhami texts you a 6-digit code. There is no password. |
| Continue with Google | A Google account | A new account takes your name and photo from Google. |
| Continue with email | An email address and a password of at least 6 characters | You must open a verification link from your email before you can log in. |
| Continue as a guest | Nothing | You can try Sikhami at once. See Guest accounts. |
Your account belongs to the phone number, Google account or email you signed up with. To reach the same account later, on the website or in the app, log in the same way every time.
Open the login page
- On the homepage, choose Sign up free or Log in. Both open the same login page.
- If you open a Sikhami page while you are logged out, Sikhami takes you to the login page. After you log in, you go back to the page you wanted.
- If you are already logged in, the login page takes you straight to Home.
Continue with phone number
- Choose Continue with phone number.
- The small box on the left holds the country code. It shows +91 for India. Change it if your number is from another country.
- Type your phone number without the country code, then choose Send code.
- Sikhami texts a 6-digit code to your phone. Type it into the box and choose Verify and continue.
- If you typed the wrong number, choose Use a different number and start again.
A security check runs in the background before the code is sent. If you see "The security check did not pass", reload the page and try again.
Continue with Google
- Choose Continue with Google.
- A Google window opens. Pick the Google account you want to use. If your browser blocks the window, Google sign-in opens in the same tab instead.
- You are logged in. A new account uses your Google name and photo, and Sikhami makes a username for you from your name and a few numbers. You can change both in Edit your profile.
Continue with email
Create an account with email
- Choose Continue with email, then choose Create an account under the form.
- Type your email and choose a password of at least 6 characters. The eye button shows or hides what you typed.
- Choose Create account.
- Sikhami sends a verification link to your email. Open your email and open the link.
- Come back to Sikhami, choose Back to log in, and log in with your email and password.
You cannot log in with email until you have opened the verification link. If you try, Sikhami sends you a new link. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
Log in with email
- Choose Continue with email.
- Type your email and password.
- Choose Log in.
Forgot your password?
- Choose Continue with email, then Forgot password?.
- Type your email and choose Send reset link.
- Open the email from Sikhami and follow the link to choose a new password. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive in a minute.
- Go back to the login page and log in with the new password.
After you log in
- A new account made with a phone number or email first opens Finish setting up, where you choose your name and username. See Set up your profile.
- Teachers and institutes log in the same way, then open Learning studio. See Studios.
- You stay logged in on that browser until you log out.
By continuing, you agree to Sikhami's Terms of Service. You can read the Privacy Policy. When you sign up with your email or Google account, Sikhami may email you about your account, new features and learning updates. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
Log out
- On a computer: choose More at the bottom of the left menu, then Log out.
- On a phone: open the Profile tab, choose ⋯ at the end of the line with your follower count, then Log out.
- On the Settings page: choose Log out at the bottom.
Sikhami asks "Log out?". Choose Log out to confirm. You can log back in any time with the same account.
A guest account cannot be logged back in to. Keep it first with Keep your account, or you lose it. See Guest accounts.

Questions
Do I need a password?
Only if you sign up with email. Phone number sign-in uses a code sent by SMS, and Google sign-in uses your Google account.
I did not get the SMS code. What can I do?
Check that the country code and number are right, wait a minute, then choose Use a different number and send the code again. If SMS keeps failing, you can log in with Google or email, but that may be a different account if you signed up with your phone.
I did not get the verification email.
Look in your spam folder. If it is not there, try to log in with your email and password: Sikhami sends a new link when your email is not verified yet.
Can I change the email or phone number I log in with?
Not on the website. The Settings page says: Changing your email or phone number is still done in the app.
Is my account the same in the Android app?
Yes. Log in to the app with the same phone number, Google account or email.
I am a teacher or an institute. Where do I sign up?
On the same login page. After you log in, open Learning studio from the menu.
