Earnings and payouts
See what your sales have earned, how much is ready to be paid, when Sikhami pays you, and the statement behind every payout.
Updated 22 October 2026
The Earnings page shows the money you make when people buy from you on Sikhami: courses, course bundles, notes, clubs, meetups, study rooms, memberships and Super Chats. It shows your balance, the part that is ready to be paid, when the next payout should go out, and a statement for every payout.
Buyers pay Sikhami. Sikhami keeps its fee and pays the rest into your bank account. To see how much of each sale is yours, read What you earn on Sikhami.
Where to find it
On a computer, click More at the bottom of the left menu and choose Settings & privacy. On a phone, open your profile, tap ⋯ and choose Settings & privacy. In the Money group, choose Earnings. You can also go straight to Earnings.
The page has these parts, from top to bottom:
- A KYC note, if your bank and tax details are not verified yet, with a button to add or fix them.
- Your balance, with an estimate of your next payout.
- Your bank account, with only the last four digits shown, and a Change button (or Add bank details if you have not added any).
- The revenue dashboard: what you earned in a period, where it came from, and a CSV download. See Revenue dashboard and statements.
- Five tabs: Payouts, Where your money came from, TDS and TCS, Commission invoices and Sales.
Your balance
The balance box shows three numbers. If you own an institute, its course sales have their own box, named after the institute.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Balance | Everything Sikhami owes you right now: your share of your sales, less any refunds, tax deductions and payouts already made. |
| Available now | The part of your balance that is past the 7-day refund hold. Only this part can be paid out. |
| Waiting out the refund hold | Money from recent sales. Each sale becomes available a week after it was made. |
Under the three numbers you see Paid to you so far, TDS deducted so far and GST TCS collected so far. TDS and TCS are taxes that Sikhami takes from your sales before it pays you. See Taxes on your sales.
If you have not sold anything and have not saved bank details yet, you may see a simpler Account box instead, with Sales, Google Play fee, Sikhami fee, Paid out to you and Balance receivable.
When you are paid
Sikhami pays you in regular payout runs. You do not need to ask, and there is no withdraw button.
- Each sale is held for 7 days in case the buyer gets a refund. After that, it becomes available.
- Payouts are prepared every week. Sikhami's payouts team approves each run before the money is sent, so the date on the page is an estimate.
- A payout includes your whole available balance, as long as at least ₹100 is available.
- The money goes by bank transfer to the account saved on Bank and tax details. Nothing is paid until Sikhami has verified those details.
- When a payout is sent, you get a Payout sent notification. If your email address is verified, you also get an email with the statement.
Next payout (estimate)
The Next payout (estimate) box under your balance tells you what will happen next. It can say:
- About how much will be sent, and the date of the payout run it goes in.
- That your available balance is paid once Sikhami has verified your bank and tax details. Finish your KYC first.
- That Sikhami pays out once at least ₹100 is available, and how much you have now.
- That your payouts are on hold, with the reason. Write to help@sikhami.com if you have questions.
- That nothing is available yet, because your money is still in the refund hold.
- That refunds have taken your balance below zero. The amount is made up from your next sales before anything is paid out.
Your payouts and their statements
The Payouts tab lists every payout, newest first. Payouts that are still on their way are at the top. Each row shows the amount, the date, the UTR (the bank's reference number for the transfer) and a status.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | The payout is in a run that has not been sent yet. |
| On its way | The payout is being processed. |
| Paid | The money was sent to your bank account. |
| Failed | The transfer did not go through. |
| Returned by the bank | Your bank sent the money back. |
| Not paid this time | You were left out of this run. The statement says why. |
Tap a payout's Statement link to see the lines that add up to it. The lines can be Sales, Google Play fee, Sikhami fee (incl. GST), Co-teacher share, TDS 194-O, GST TCS, Refunds, Adjustments and Brought forward. Only lines with an amount are shown. The last line is the amount paid, followed by the bank account it went to (last four digits). Tap Hide to close it.
A payout is Not paid this time when your payouts were on hold, your bank and tax details were not verified yet, the available balance was below the minimum payout, refunds had left the balance below zero, or no bank details were saved.
If a payout fails or the bank returns it, you get a Payout not delivered notification. The amount goes back into your balance and is sent in a later run once your bank details are right.
Bank transfers made before payout statements existed are also listed, with their date and reference. They are marked as a bank transfer recorded before payout statements existed.
Institutes and co-teachers
If you own an institute, its video course sales are paid to the same bank account as your own sales. On the Earnings page they have their own box, named after the institute, and their own payouts in the Payouts tab.
Your institute also has an Earnings tab in the Learning studio. It shows the institute's gross sales, the fees, its earnings, what has been paid out, every online course sale with its invoice, and the payouts. Only the owner of the institute sees this tab; team members do not.
If a course gives a co-teacher a share of each sale, that share is taken from the course owner's money and added to the co-teacher's own balance. Each co-teacher is paid to their own bank and tax details, so each co-teacher needs to fill those in too.
The other tabs
- Where your money came from: every sale, fee, deduction and payout, line by line. See Revenue dashboard and statements.
- TDS and TCS: the tax taken from your sales, by quarter of the financial year. See Taxes on your sales.
- Commission invoices: Sikhami's monthly invoice for the fee it kept.
- Sales: your recent sales with the buyer, the amount paid, the fees, your share and the invoice.
A tab may say that it appears once Sikhami's new payout system is switched on for your account. Your sales and any older payouts are still listed in the meantime.
Questions
Why is my money not available yet?
Each sale waits 7 days in case it is refunded. In the Where your money came from tab, a recent sale shows the date it becomes available.
Why was I not paid this week?
Open the Payouts tab and look at the statement of the latest run. The usual reasons are: less than ₹100 available, bank and tax details not verified yet, payouts on hold, or a balance below zero after refunds.
Can I ask for my money now?
No. There is no withdraw button. Sikhami pays your available balance in its regular payout runs.
My balance is below zero. What happened?
A sale was refunded after its money had already been paid out. The amount is taken from your next sales before anything else is paid to you.
I changed my bank account. Will my next payout still come?
Only after Sikhami has checked the new details. Until then, payouts wait. See Bank and tax details.
Where do I see the money from my course sales?
On the Earnings page, in the box named after your institute, and in the Earnings tab of your institute in the Learning studio.
