Find courses
How to browse and filter courses on Sikhami, the difference between online video courses and face-to-face classes, and how to read a course page, its reviews and its free preview lectures before you join.
Updated 23 October 2026
A course on Sikhami is a set of lessons from a teacher or an institute. There are two main kinds: online video courses, which you watch on Sikhami at any time, and face-to-face courses, which are classes at an institute's centre on fixed days.
This article shows where to find courses, how to filter them, and how to read a course page before you join. To join a course, see Enrol in a course.
Where to find courses
- On a computer, click Courses in the menu on the left. You can also open More and choose Courses in the Explore list.
- On a phone, tap Explore (the magnifier) at the bottom, then tap Courses.
- You can also search for a course by name. Open Search, type a word, and choose the Courses tab.
The Courses page opens straight onto the courses. At the top there are two buttons: My learning opens the courses you have joined (see My learning), and Create starts a new course of your own (see Studios). Under them are the tabs and the filters, then the courses.
If you have told Sikhami what you want to learn, a Recommended for you row with courses for those topics shows above the list on the Popular and Newest tabs, while no filter is on. Use Edit next to the row to change your topics. See Your interests.
Course lists and filters
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Popular | Published courses, the most popular first. |
| Newest | Published courses, the newest first. |
| Face to face | Classes at institutes. If you have set your location, the nearest are first, with the distance, for example 2.5 km away. |
| My courses | Courses you created yourself, published or not. They open in your studio for editing. |
Under the tabs is one row of filters. Category lists every subject (School, Competitive exams, Technology, Languages, Music, Dance and more); search the list or pick one. After you pick a category, Sub-category and then Topic appear, so you can narrow it further. Next to it, the chips Any price, Free and Paid narrow by price. Clear removes all filters. If the filters hide everything, the page says so; choose Show all courses to start again.
On the Face to face tab, tap Set location (or Change) to choose where you are. See Your location.
Without a category, each tab shows up to 20 courses. With a category picked, Popular and Newest list every course in it, 20 at a time: choose Load more courses at the bottom to see the next ones. In Search, the Courses tab also lets you filter by things like mode, level, exam, subject and certificate. See Search filters.
Video courses and face-to-face courses
| Video course | Face-to-face course | |
|---|---|---|
| How you learn | Recorded lectures that you watch on Sikhami whenever you like. | Classes at the institute on set days and times. |
| How you join | Tap Enrol for free, or buy it online. | Send an application. The institute confirms your seat. |
| How you pay | Online on Sikhami. | To the institute, after they confirm. No payment is taken on Sikhami. |
| What the card shows | How many students and lectures. | The city, and seats left or the start date. |
Some video courses get their lectures from a YouTube playlist. Their card says Video · YouTube. These lectures play inside Sikhami, and these courses are free.
Face-to-face courses are explained in Classroom courses for learners.
What a course card shows
- The picture, with the course type in the top corner (for example Video or Face to face) and the language in the bottom corner.
- The name, with the verified badge if Sikhami has verified the course. See Verified badge.
- The category and sub-category, and the level when the teacher set one (for example Class 10).
- The star rating and the number of reviews.
- Students and lectures for a video course, or the city and seats for a face-to-face course.

- Facts under the name: the language, the number of lectures and hours of video, how long you keep access (for example Lifetime access or 1 year from purchase), and for classroom courses the start date.
- N students: tap it to see the people who have joined.
- The institute's name: tap it to open the institute's page.
- Chips such as Level, exams, subjects and Certificate on completion.

- Buttons to like, save, share or report the course, then Reviews and Questions & answers.
The price card shows the price and the main button. The button tells you what kind of course it is, for example Enrol for free, Buy now or Apply now. If the course has no price set, the card says Contact the institute to enrol in this course, and the price reads Fee on request.
Watch free preview lectures
A video course page has a Course content list: sections that open and close, with each lecture and its length. Tests in the course show the word Test.
- Open the course page.
- Find Course content. On a computer it is in the card on the right. On a phone it is under the price card.
- Tap a section name to open it.
- Lectures marked Preview have a play icon. Tap one to watch it in a pop-up window, before you enrol.
- Lectures with a lock open only after you enrol.
Reviews and questions
The average rating and the number of reviews show next to Reviews, for example 4.5 · 12.
- To review a course, tap Write a review.
- Pick 1 to 5 stars. A star rating is required.
- Write a few lines if you like (up to 1,000 characters). This part is optional.
- Tap Submit review.
You can write one review per course. Afterwards the button reads Edit your review. To remove your review, tap the bin icon next to it. Any signed-in member can review a course, except the person who owns it.
Under Questions & answers, type in Ask a question… and tap Ask. Anyone can open a question and reply with Write an answer…. You can like questions, delete your own questions, and delete answers on a question you asked.
Questions
Can I watch a lecture before I pay?
Yes, if the teacher marked it as a preview. Look for lectures with the Preview tag in Course content. Other lectures stay locked until you enrol.
Why can I not find a course I saw before?
Only published courses appear, and without a filter each tab shows up to 20. Pick the course's subject in the Category filter to see every course in it, or search for the course by name in Search.
What does Fee on request mean?
The course has no price set on Sikhami. The page asks you to contact the institute to enrol.
Do I have to join a course to review it?
No. Any signed-in member except the course owner can write a review. Please review only courses you know.
Can other people see that I joined a course?
Yes. When your enrolment is confirmed, you appear in the course's Students list, which anyone can open by tapping the number of students on the course page.
Can I see a course page without an account?
Yes. Course links open a public page with the description, price, course content and the first preview lecture. To enrol, you sign in first and come back to the course.
