Updated 22 October 2026
A face-to-face course is a course taught in person at your institute, for example "Class 10 Maths, evening batch". Its page tells students when it starts and ends, which days and times classes run, how many seats are left, the fee, and where the classes happen.
Students apply for a seat on Sikhami. You confirm or reject each application. Students pay the fee to you directly, outside Sikhami. Sikhami takes no payment or commission on face-to-face courses.
Before you start
- You need an institute that you own. See Create an institute.
- Fill in your institute's address and map location. Classes happen at the institute's address, and students see it with directions. The new-course form warns you if either is missing.
Create a face-to-face course
- Open the Learning studio, go to My courses and click New course. When the Face to face tab of the Courses page has no courses yet, its Add one for your institute button opens the same form.
- Choose the Institute.
- Under What kind of course is it?, choose Face-to-face course.
- Type the Course name, for example "Class 10 Maths, evening batch".
- Under What does this course teach?, choose up to 10 topics (needed before publishing).
- Look at the card that starts with Classes at and your institute's name. It shows the address students will see. To change it, click Edit institute.
- Pick Course starts on and Course ends on. The end date must be after the start date.
- Under Class days, choose the days classes run.
- Pick Class starts at and Class ends at. A class must end after it starts.
- Type the Seats in this batch (1 or more).
- Type the Fee (₹). Type 0 for a free course. Under The fee is, choose For the whole course or Per month.
- Choose the Language of teaching.
- Turn on Study material included if notes, books or a test series come with the fee.
- Click Create course. The Manage course page opens.
If something is missing or wrong, a message tells you what to fix, for example Choose the days classes run. or Enter how many seats the batch has (1 or more).
Finish the details on the Edit tab
A face-to-face course has three tabs: Edit, Applications & students and Teachers. On the Edit tab, each field saves with its own Save button.

The course length in months is worked out from the start and end dates.
How students join
- Students find published face-to-face courses on the Courses page, under the Face to face tab. If they have set their location, the nearest courses come first.
- On your course page they see the dates, class days and times, seats left, the venue with directions, study material, who can join and the free demo class.
- They click Apply now (or Apply for free for a free course), check the details and click Confirm. No money is taken on Sikhami.
- Their application appears in your Applications & students tab, under Applications.
When no seats are left, the course page shows Seats full and students cannot apply. For the student side, see Classroom courses for learners.
Confirm or reject applications
- Open the course and go to Applications & students.
- Under Applications, each row shows the student, the fee and when they applied. Click the Message button to chat with the student.
- Click Confirm to give them a seat, or Reject to turn the application down.
- Each time you confirm a student, Available seats goes down by one.
- Confirmed students appear under Students. Remove student takes them off the course and gives the seat back; their application is marked as rejected.
- On the course page, the student sees Application pending, Successfully enrolled or Application not accepted.
- You collect the fee from the student yourself, in the way you agree with them.
The institute's Online students tab shows applications and students across all your institute's courses in one list.
Classroom courses and batches
A face-to-face course is your public listing, where students apply. Confirmed students are not added to a batch on their own. To run the class day to day, with a timetable, attendance and a fee book, add the students to a batch in your institute. See Batches, timetable and attendance and Fee book and receipts.
