Explore

What is on the Explore page: shortcuts to every section of Sikhami, People to know, and a grid of trending posts and clips.

Updated 23 October 2026

Explore is the place to discover things on Sikhami that you do not follow yet. It has shortcuts to every section of the site, a row of popular people, and a grid of trending posts and clips.

On a phone, Explore is also where you start a search.

Open Explore

  • On a computer, click Explore in the menu on the left.
  • On a phone, tap Explore (the magnifier) in the tabs at the bottom.

On a phone or a smaller screen, the search field is at the top of Explore. Tap it to open the Search page. On a computer, use Search in the menu instead. See Search Sikhami.

Section tiles

Under the search field is a grid of tiles. Each tile opens one section of Sikhami:

TileWhat it opens

To browse every subject, from music to exams, open Categories: on a computer from More in the menu, or tap the Categories tile here. See Categories.

People to know

This row shows popular people with public accounts. Each card has the person's photo, name and @username. A blue tick means the account is verified.

  • Swipe the row sideways to see more people.
  • Tap a card to open the person's profile, where you can follow them or send a message.
  • Tap See all to open the full People page.
  • If a photo has a ring, the person has a story. Tap the photo to watch it.

This grid shows the most popular photo and video posts from public accounts. Clips are mixed in: after every three posts there is a clip, while there are trending clips to show.

  • A post tile opens the post.
  • A tile with the clips mark in the corner is a clip. It opens the clip player. See Watch clips.
  • A tile with stacked squares has more than one photo or video. A play mark means a video.
  • On a computer, move your mouse over a post tile to see its likes and comments.

Polls, reposts, text-only posts, members-only clips and anything from private accounts are not shown here.

In the trending grid, a sponsored item may appear after every 12 tiles. It is labelled Sponsored. Its menu has Why am I seeing this ad?, Hide ad, an option to hide all ads from that advertiser, and Report ad. See Sponsored content.

How Explore is chosen

  • Explore shows the same popular items to everyone. It is not based on who you follow.
  • A post or clip becomes more popular as people react to it, for example when they like a post or upvote a clip.
  • To see posts from people you follow, use your Home feed. See Home feed.
