Watch live streams

How to find and watch live video streams on Sikhami, like and comment while you watch, send a Super Chat, and watch saved lives after they end.

Updated 22 October 2026

A live stream is a video that a member shares from their camera as it happens, for example a teacher's live class. While it runs, viewers can like it and comment in a chat beside the video.

When a live ends, it is saved if it could be recorded, so you can watch it later under Past lives. To start your own live, see Go live.

Find live streams

  • On a computer, open More in the left menu and choose Live.
  • On a phone, tap Explore at the bottom, then Live.
  • Or go straight to Live.

The Live page shows the streams running now, the most watched first. Each one shows a red LIVE tag, the number of people watching, the title, the host and when it started. Under them, Past lives shows saved lives, the newest first.

If nobody is live, the page says Nobody is live right now.

The Live page lists streams from public accounts only. A live whose host has lost their connection for about a minute drops off the list.

Watch a live

  1. Tap a live stream. You see Connecting to the host's name, then the video starts.
  2. At the top you see the title, the host, the LIVE tag and how many people are watching.
  3. Tap the heart at the bottom right of the video to like the live. Tap it again to remove your like.
  4. To leave, tap the X at the top left. It takes you back to the Live page.
  • If the host's connection is weak, you see Host connection unstable… on the video. It usually recovers by itself.
  • When the host ends the live, you see This live has ended, with the number of views and likes, and a Back to live button.

Comment while you watch

The chat is beside the video on a computer and under it on a phone. It shows the latest 100 messages.

  1. Type in Say something… at the bottom of the chat. A comment can be up to 200 characters.
  2. Tap the send button.
  • When you open a live, the chat shows your name with joined. Everyone watching can see it.
  • The host can switch comments off. Then the box says Comments are off and you cannot send.
  • If your account is suspended, you can still watch and read the chat, but you cannot write in it. See Account suspension and moderation.

Send a Super Chat

A Super Chat is a paid message that stays pinned above the chat for a while, so the host and other viewers still see it when the chat moves fast.

  1. Tap the rupee chat button next to the comment box (Send a Super Chat).
  2. Pick an amount and write your message.
  3. Pay. Your message appears pinned at the top of the chat.

Amounts, how long a message stays pinned and the message length are explained in Super Chat. The host cannot send a Super Chat on their own live.

Watch past lives

Saved lives appear under Past lives on the Live page. Each one shows a picture from the video, its length, the title, the host and when it was live.

  1. Tap a past live.
  2. The video plays with normal controls: pause, move forward or back, full screen.
  3. Under it you see the title, the host, when it was live, its length and the number of views. Tap the host to open their profile.

A saved live has no chat. The comments from the live are not shown. The host can delete a saved live at any time, and then it is gone from Past lives.

Questions

Do I need an account to watch a live?

Yes. You need to be signed in to Sikhami to open the Live page and watch.

Is watching a live free?

Yes. Watching, liking and commenting are free. Only a Super Chat costs money.

The video does not start. What can I do?

Wait a few seconds while it says Connecting. If it stays stuck, go back to the Live page and open the live again. Check that the host is still live: a live drops off the list when the host's connection stops.

Can the host see that I am watching?

Yes. Your name appears in the chat with joined when you open a live, and the viewer count goes up by one.

Why is a live I watched not under Past lives?

Not every live is saved: some cannot be recorded, for example in browsers that do not support it. Only lives from public accounts are listed, and the host may have deleted it.

Can I comment on a past live?

No. Saved lives can be watched, but they have no chat.
