Sell on Sikhami

What you can sell on Sikhami, how to set a price, why prices come in fixed steps, what the payout line under a price box means, and how buyers pay on the website and in the Android app.

Updated 22 October 2026

You can earn money on Sikhami by selling access to what you make: video courses, notes, clubs, meetups and study rooms. You can also sell a membership to your fans, and people can pay you through a Super Chat.

You set one price, and buyers pay the same price on sikhami.com and in the Android app. Sikhami collects the money, keeps a fee and pays you the rest. This article explains what you can sell and how prices work. For the full earnings sum, see What you earn on Sikhami.

  • Courses built from a YouTube playlist are always free.
  • Only video courses can be bought online. A classroom course can show a fee, but the institute collects it itself. See Classroom courses.
  • Posts, polls, voice posts and stories cannot be sold. To charge your fans, sell a membership and post members-only clips.

Set a price

Every price box on Sikhami works the same way:

  1. Open the item's manage page and find its price section (Price, Joining fee or Membership).
  2. Select Set a fee, Set prices or Change.
  3. Type the price in whole rupees. For things sold by period, type a price next to each period you want to sell and leave the others empty.
  4. Read the payout line under the box (see below).
  5. Select Save.

To make something free again, set the price to 0, or clear every period.

People who already joined a club or a meetup before you set a price keep their place. They do not have to pay.

Prices come in fixed steps

Google Play can only charge prices that were set up with Google in advance. So that the website and the Android app always charge the same, Sikhami uses a fixed list of prices. If you type an amount between two steps, it is saved as the next step up, and the box tells you, for example "Saved as ₹499".

Price rangeSteps
Up to ₹100₹25, ₹49, ₹50, ₹74, ₹75, ₹99 and ₹100
₹100 to ₹1,000Every ₹100, and ₹1 below each: ₹199, ₹200, ₹299, ₹300 and so on
₹1,000 to ₹5,000Every ₹500, and ₹1 below each: ₹1,499, ₹1,500, ₹1,999 and so on
₹5,000 to ₹25,000Every ₹2,500
₹25,000 to ₹50,000Every ₹5,000
  • The lowest price is ₹25. A smaller amount is saved as ₹25.
  • The highest price you can set is ₹1,00,000. A price above ₹50,000 can only be paid on sikhami.com, not in the Android app.
  • A course bundle's price is not changed on the website. When someone buys the bundle in the Android app, the price is rounded up to the next step.

The payout line under a price

Under every price box you see a line that tells you what you receive for each sale (or each member) on sikhami.com, and what you receive for a sale made in the Android app. Select How next to it to see the full sum for both.

Sold on sikhami.comSold inside the Android app
Buyer paysYour priceYour price
Google Play service feeNone15% of the price
Sikhami fee20% of the price20% of what is left after Google's fee

Buyers pay the same price in both places. You receive less for a sale made in the app only because Google keeps its fee first. See What you earn on Sikhami for a worked example and a calculator.

How buyers pay

  • On sikhami.com: the buyer pays on a checkout page through Razorpay. The page says the money is collected by Sikhami on behalf of the seller.
  • In the Android app: the buyer pays through Google Play.
  • For things sold by period (courses, clubs and memberships), the buyer picks the period at checkout. When it ends, they can renew by paying again. Nothing renews by itself.
  • Nobody can buy their own item.

You get a notification when someone buys, for example "Notes Sold" or "New Member", and the sale appears on your Earnings page with its invoice. To learn how buyers pay, see How to pay.

Getting paid

Open Settings & privacy and find the Money section. Earnings shows your sales and your balance. Bank and tax details is where you add the bank account Sikhami pays into, and your PAN and GST details. Add them before your first sale.

While your account is suspended, you cannot set or change prices. See Account suspension and moderation.

Questions

Does it cost anything to put something on sale?

No. Sikhami only keeps a fee of 20% of the money that reaches it when something is sold.

Why was my price saved as a different number?

Prices come in fixed steps so the website and the Android app charge the same. An amount between two steps is saved as the next step up.

Can I charge more than ₹1,00,000?

No. ₹1,00,000 is the highest price you can set, and anything above ₹50,000 can only be bought on sikhami.com.

Why do I receive less when someone buys in the Android app?

Google Play keeps a 15% service fee on purchases made inside the app before the money reaches Sikhami. Sikhami's fee is then worked out on what is left.

Do people who joined for free have to pay when I add a price?

No. People who already joined your club or meetup keep their place.

Can I sell a single post?

No. Posts are always free. To earn from your fans, sell a membership or receive Super Chats.
