Lead forms and leads
Collect enquiries with a lead form that opens inside Sikhami when someone taps your ad, then see, download and delete the leads. Also what learners see, and how to look after their data.
Updated 22 October 2026
A lead form is a short form that opens inside Sikhami when someone taps your ad. The learner does not leave Sikhami, and the form fills in answers such as their name, email and phone number from their profile, so it takes only a few seconds. Each form someone sends you is called a lead.
Lead forms are made and managed in the Ads Manager under Lead forms. Leads are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Make a lead form
Open the Ads Manager, choose Lead forms, then New lead form. You can also make one while you build an ad: in Destination choose A lead form, then + Create lead form.
- Form name: only your team sees it.
- Headline: the title of the form, for example Get the NEET 2027 batch brochure.
- Introduction (optional): a few lines about what the learner gets.
- Questions: a new form starts with Full name, Email and Phone number. Pick a type and choose Add question to add more. Tick or untick Required for each one, and use the arrows to change the order.
- Privacy policy link: required. A web address starting with https:// for your own privacy policy. Learners see it next to the consent line before they send the form.
- After they submit: a Title and Message for the thank-you screen, and if you like a Website button (optional) that opens your website.
- Open the Preview tab to see exactly what learners will see.
- Choose Create form.
| Type | How it works |
|---|---|
| Full name, Email, Phone number, City, State, Exam | Filled in from the learner's profile when possible. The learner can change the answer. |
| Short answer | A short typed answer to your own question. |
| Multiple choice | The learner picks one of your choices. Write at least two choices, one per line, up to 10. |
A form can have 1 to 10 questions. Answers can be up to 300 characters.
Use the form in an ad
- In the Ad step of a campaign, choose the Single image or video format.
- Under Destination, choose A lead form.
- Pick your form from the list, or choose + Create lead form.
- Save and publish the campaign as usual.
With the Leads objective, the ad set's goal is leads, a result is a submitted form, and the button starts as Sign up (you can change it). Carousel cards cannot open a lead form.
There is no separate charge for a lead. The ad set pays for impressions in the usual way; see Ad budget, balance and billing.
What the learner sees
- Tapping your ad opens the form over the screen, with your headline, your advertiser name and your introduction.
- Answers Sikhami can take from their profile (name, email, phone, city, state and exam) are filled in, with the note: We filled in what we could from your profile. Check it and change anything you like.
- Under the questions they read: By submitting, you share this information with your advertiser name, with a link to your privacy policy, and that their answers are deleted from Sikhami after 90 days.
- Nothing is sent until they choose Submit. Closing the form sends nothing.
- After sending, they see your thank-you title and message, and Visit website if you added a website button.
If the form has been archived, they see This form is no longer taking responses.
See and download your leads
- Open the Ads Manager and choose Lead forms.
- Open the Leads tab.
- Choose All forms or one form. The table shows when each lead was received, the answers, and the date it will be deleted.
- Choose Download CSV to save the leads you are looking at as a spreadsheet file.
The file has one column per question, plus the time the form was sent (Indian time), the ad's ID and the lead's ID. When you download all forms together, answers to questions with the same wording go in the same column.
Admins and advertisers on the ad account get a New lead notification every time someone sends a form.
Leads contain people's names and contact details, so only admins and advertisers can see them. Analysts do not see the Leads tab. Only admins can Delete a lead, and a deleted lead cannot be brought back.
Edit or archive a form
- Edit: change an active form at any time. Leads you already have keep their answers.
- Preview: see the form as learners see it.
- Archive: ads that use the form stop collecting leads. Leads already received are kept until their 90 days are up.
- Forms are never deleted, only archived, and an archived form cannot be edited or used again.
Leads are deleted after 90 days
Every lead is deleted from Sikhami automatically 90 days after it arrives. The Deleted on column shows the date for each one. Download what you need to keep before then. This rule protects learners: they shared their details for one purpose, and Sikhami does not keep them for ever.
Looking after learners' data
A lead is personal data that a learner chose to share with you. Sikhami asks for your privacy policy on every form and shows it next to the consent line, so learners know what you will do with their details. Good practice:
- Use leads only for what your form and your privacy policy say, for example sending the brochure or calling about admission.
- Keep downloaded files safe, and share them only with the people who need them.
- Delete leads and files you no longer need.
- If a learner asks you to stop contacting them or to delete their details, do so.
Questions
Can other learners see the answers?
No. Only the admins and advertisers of the ad account that ran the ad can see the leads.
Why can't I see the Leads tab?
You are an analyst on this ad account. Analysts can see campaigns and results but not leads. Ask an admin to change your role if you need them.
Can I get a lead back after 90 days?
No. Leads are deleted for good after 90 days. Download them with Download CSV before then.
Do I pay for each lead?
No. There is no charge per lead. You pay for your ad's impressions from your prepaid balance, as with any other ad.
Why is the privacy policy link required?
So learners can see how you will use their details before they send them. Without a link to your privacy policy that starts with https://, the form cannot be saved.
I am a learner. Who gets my answers when I fill in a lead form?
Only the advertiser named on the form. Nothing is sent until you choose Submit, you can change every answer first, and Sikhami deletes your answers after 90 days.
