Admissions: enquiries and follow-ups

Collect admission enquiries from your institute's page and by hand, follow up on the right day, and add the people who join straight into a batch.

Updated 7 November 2026

Admissions in Sikhami LMS keeps every enquiry in one place: who asked, their phone number, what they want to learn, where they stand and when to call them next.

Admissions is part of Sikhami LMS Pro, and free for every institute until Pro launches. The owner and admins see it.

Where enquiries come from

  • Your institute's page: anyone logged in to Sikhami can tap Ask about admission and leave their name, phone number, a course and a question. You get a notification, and an email if you have not seen it within a few minutes.
  • By hand: walk-ins and phone calls. Click Add enquiry, then type the name, a phone number or email address, what they are interested in, and when to follow up.

A person who asks again before you have answered is added to their first enquiry, not counted twice.

The pipeline

StageMeaning
NewNobody has talked to them yet.
ContactedYou have called or messaged them.
Demo classThey are coming to, or came to, a demo class.
JoinedThey joined a batch.
LostThey are not joining. You can note why, for example fees or timing.

The boxes at the top count each stage; click one to see its enquiries. Open lists everyone not yet joined or lost, and Follow up today those whose follow-up date has come. Enquiries from your page start with today as their follow-up date.

Work an enquiry

  1. Click the enquiry. Call and WhatsApp open your phone or WhatsApp with their number.
  2. After you talk, write what happened under Notes and click Add note.
  3. Under Move to, choose the stage they are at.
  4. Set the Next follow-up date and click Save date.
  5. When they join, choose their batch under Joined? Add them to a batch and click Add to batch. They become a batch student, ready for attendance, fees and messages.

The Dashboard of your workspace shows how many new enquiries and follow-ups are waiting.

Questions

Can a visitor who is not logged in ask about admission?

They are asked to log in or sign up first, then the form opens. The phone number they type goes only to your institute.

Can teachers or accountants see Admissions?

No. Admissions is for the owner and admins, who also get the notification for each new enquiry.

Do leads from my Sikhami Ads come in here?

Not yet. Leads from Sikhami Ads lead forms stay in the Ads Manager for now.
