Sikhami for Course Sellers is for people who sell what they know through live workshops: a short live session at a low price, such as ₹99. Sikhami gives each workshop a page where people register and pay, sends them the emails and reminders, and keeps the list of everyone who registered.

It is a separate product from Sikhami LMS, with its own workspace at sikhami.com/sell, and you use your normal Sikhami account. The live session itself runs on your own Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube Live, Microsoft Teams or other meeting link: Sikhami does not stream it.

The plan

What you pay
First 6 monthsNothing. The 6 months start on the day you set up.
After that₹4,999 a month + GST
Commission on your sales0%. Sikhami keeps nothing from the price of your workshops or bonus offers.

The plan page shows the date your free 6 months end.

Note

When the free period has ended and the plan is not active, your workshops stop taking new registrations. People who have already registered keep their seats.

Set up

  1. Open sikhami.com/sell. If you are not logged in, log in or sign up first. See Sign up and log in.
  2. The first time, Sikhami asks for your business name, what you teach, and an email address, which you verify.
  3. When you finish, your free 6 months start and your workspace opens: your workshops, your plan and your numbers.

The button on Sikhami for Course Sellers takes you through the same steps.

Note

Workshops are set up, sold and paid for on the website, sikhami.com.

Create and publish a workshop

  1. In your workspace, start a new workshop and give it a title.
  2. Set the date, the start time and how long it lasts.
  3. Choose where it happens, and paste the join link of your meeting (see the next section).
  4. Set the price, or 0 for a free workshop, and the number of seats, or 0 for no limit.
  5. Describe it: what it is about, the points people will learn, and who is hosting, with a short bio.
  6. Optional: add a bonus offer, and choose how long a replay stays open.
  7. Check your refund terms. They show on the page and at checkout, before anyone pays.
  8. Publish it. Until you do, it is a draft that only you can see.

Once it is published, the workshop has its own page with its own link. Share that link wherever your audience is.

Note

If you change the date, time or length after people have registered, they get an email with the new time and a new calendar invite. If you cancel the workshop, they get a cancellation email that also removes it from their calendar.

Where the live session runs

You run the session on your own service: Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube Live, Microsoft Teams, or any other meeting link that starts with https://.

  • The join link is never shown on the workshop's public page.
  • People who registered see it on their seat page from 60 minutes before the start.
  • The reminder sent an hour before the start also carries the link.

Note

Because the session runs on your meeting service, check how many people your plan with that service lets in before you set the number of seats.

What buyers see

  1. The workshop page shows a countdown to the start time, the seats left, what they will learn and who is hosting.
  2. To register, they give their name, email and phone number.
  3. If you added a bonus offer, they see it with a box they can tick. The box starts unticked.
  4. They see the total before they pay, then pay in the Razorpay window, for example by UPI. For a free workshop there is nothing to pay.
  5. Their seat page opens, with buttons to add the workshop to their calendar. The join link appears there from an hour before the start, and the replay link afterwards if you share one.

The countdown counts to the real start time, and the seats left are the real number of seats not yet taken. Nothing on the page is made up to rush people.

Replays

If you chose a replay, add the replay link after the workshop ends. Everyone who registered gets one email with the link and the date it closes.

Emails and reminders

Sikhami sends these emails for you. The times are in Indian Standard Time.

WhenWhat the buyer gets
They register (paid or free)A confirmation with the date and time, a link to their seat, a Google Calendar link and a calendar invite.

At the start timeAn email that the workshop is starting, with the link.
You change the timeThe new time, with a new calendar invite.

You add the replayThe replay link and the date it closes.

The emails go to the address the buyer typed when they registered. They are sent even if the buyer has switched off Sikhami's notification emails, because they are about a workshop the buyer signed up for.

The people list

Each workshop has a list of everyone who registered: their name, email and phone number, whether they paid or registered free, and whether they took the bonus offer. Download it as a CSV file to open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Note

The list holds people's phone numbers and email addresses. Keep the file safe, and use it only for what people signed up for.

Getting paid

Workshop sales, bonus offers included, are added to your balance on the Earnings page, and paid out the same way as every other sale on Sikhami:

  • Each sale is held for 7 days in case the buyer gets a refund. After that, it becomes available.
  • Payouts are prepared every week. Sikhami's payouts team approves each run before the money is sent.
  • A payout includes your whole available balance, as long as at least ₹100 is available.
  • The money goes by bank transfer to the account saved on Bank and tax details. Nothing is paid until Sikhami has verified those details.

The taxes the law asks Sikhami to take from online sales apply here too. See Taxes on your sales. For the full picture of your balance and payouts, see Earnings and payouts.
